Three Types Of People

The human race can be categorized into three types of people. I want to touch on these for a bit today, just to see which one you actually fit into.

1. Independent

Most of us say we are “independent” and that we do not need any help from anyone. Some of us are too prideful to accept a gift from a person, such as money, a place to stay, or just anything nice.  Independent people always seem to have an upbeat attitude (for the most part). They do not like working with others because they think they will hinder their goal. Their motto is, “If I want something, I will stop at nothing to get it”, meaning no matter who or what they hurt, just as long as the they get what they want

2. Dependent

These people always are looking for others to help them. They do not have much ambition, they just want to get by for that day and not worry about tomorrow until it comes. We all start out as “dependent” human beings because we depend on our parents for our nutrition, health, and comfort. Some people never grow out of this stage and depend on others for all sorts of simple tasks. Some, if not most, dependent type people will con, cheat, lie, steal, whatever it takes just so they can get what they want. These people are very persistent and refuse to give up. If one person cannot supply need A, then they will call another person to supply need A. If that other person supplies need A, more and likely, they will call upon that person again for need B, etc… I believe in helping others more than anything, but there comes a point where you must realize by ‘helping’ that person, you are actuall making their condition worse.  Dependent type people will have a mediocre life, and will be happy.

3. Interdependent

This human being is well established, willing to do tasks on his/her own, and has much ambition. This individual realizes that he/she can not do everything on their own, but involves others in helping achieving their goals. These people have the best attitude and outlook on life. Interdependence is hard to achieve, but very rewarding. They realize they can not do it all.  They also realize the value in having people help them achieve their goals.  With this attitude, they have the potential to do anything. For example, if you are trying to become a famous artist, what would be one thing to do? I would email an expert in that field and ask their opinion on the situation. All “experts” weren’t born experts in their field. They had to go through a struggle to get where they are at today. Most “experts” love answering YOUR questions. Email is the best form of communication with this.

Interdependence = Success in whatever you decide to do.

Great! I would probably consider myself an interdependent that has stalled and needs a little kick.
