Positive Living? Is It Really Worth It?
6 to 7 months ago, I made a decision to have a positive living life. I have a short 6 minute video here that explains EXACTLY what I did…
Now, this decision was not something easy to do. It takes a lot of discipline. BUT, with the right people and your own mind made up, it’s more than worth it.
Think about all the ENERGY you spend on various tasks throughout the day. Now, imagine all that energy is being DRAINED by a friend of yours who has nothing better to do than to complain about every single thing to you. YOUR energy is not worth being drained over that. Why not USE your energy towards something/someone positive? Take a look around you, the 5 closest people who you hang around is exactly who you will be like in 5 years. Don’t believe me? Well that’s ok. You keep on thinking that way and come back to me in 5 years with your response to this.
BOTTOM LINE: RID yourself of any negative person/situation in your life and your life will start to change. You can’t control external factors but you sure can control one thing…YOUR MINDSET.
Positive living is all there is for me now

Ryan, thanks for the reminder that negative people will drag us down, and good on you for taking a stand 6 months ago. I try to take this a step further and dump other common negative influences like TV as well.

I first heard this from Jim Rohn about 15 years ago. Negativity…whether it be from people or yourself…will bring you down to that level for sure. You are right…you do not cut them out of your life…but you cannot spend too much time with certain people without it affecting you as well. Thanks for sharing!
Good for you Ryan! It can be really difficult to disassociate with people that you’ve been friends with for a long time, but as you say, it’s important to surround ourselves with like minded people. It’s just a fact of life, some of us strive for growth in our lives and others are just happy complaining. When we have the courage to cut these harmful cords and develop relationships with like minded people our futures become brighter…
Dude, That is huge. Association is everything. A person on the grow can feel lonely at times cause, they grow and shed their skin. Keep developing those new relationships. Way to go.
