How To Stop Procrastination…NOW!
How To Stop Procrastination Now!
It’s actually quite simple. I have created a video with several different tips on how to stop this bad habit. It’s here for your enrichment
1. Make a list on Monday of what you need to accomplish for the week. You can write it down or download this spreadsheet created by Eric Goldstein (www.CreateWithEric.com) by clicking here. The best way to accomplish goals is to write them down. You can do it without writing them down but it is not as effective. Only by SEEING what you want to accomplish will you actually feel like you have accomplished a goal.
2. Do NOT multitask. Do not start task A, and then start part of task B. This breaks your FOCUS on the task at hand. You need to be focused to perform each task. Cell phones, emails, etc…are all DISTRACTIONS from accomplishing your tasks. I’m not suggesting you do not reply to your emails or phone calls/text messages, but set time aside each day to do that. Once you are distracted from your task, it takes at least twenty minutes to get focused again.
3. Prioritize your tasks by urgency. Accomplish the MOST important tasks each day by noon. Why 12 pm you ask? Because your best work is done in the morning. By having a time deadline, you will work harder to get these goals accomplished. I make a list of goals each day and prioritize them. In the afternoon, you are more likely to not be as focused on certain tasks.
4. Work in two hour blocks. This means I want to accomplish task A. I will work on task A for 90 minutes with no distractions and only focus on that one task. Once the 90 minutes is up, TAKE A BREAK. Take 30 minutes to free your mind and relax. Do not clutter it with anything about the work you were just doing. Go listen to some music, or respond back to your phone calls. The whole point here is to allow your mind to “refresh”. When the 30 minutes is up, then you can go back to that same task or another new task with a clean, fresh mind.
Bottom Line: TAKE ACTION NOW!

Hey Ryan,
Great info about stopping procrastination. I thought I would practice this by leaving this comment.
I’ve found that writing down my goals, like you said makes them more achievable. Everybody wants to reach their goals and the most important part that most people leave out is not writing them down.
Thank you for this valuable information.
